An Albanian television station reported that on March 22 Serbian forces killed an elderly man from Strofce/Stroc in the village of Ade/Hade. In June, after the withdrawal of Serbian forces, KFOR found his remains under a bridge on the Hade–Grabovica road.
Podujevo / Podujevë
A member of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) from Priština was killed in a KLA attack in the village of Glavnik/Gllamnik.
Priština / Prishtinë
At 7:20 p.m., an explosive device was thrown into the “Koha” café. An ICRC staff member, a guest at the café who had been assisting in transporting the wounded to hospital, suffered a heart attack in front of the hospital. He died on the spot.
Prizren / Prizren
At around 5 p.m., a 21-year-old Albanian student was abducted in Đure Jakšić Street. A neighbor saw from her window that uniformed police officers forced him into a car, an “Ascona,” with license plates PZ–23–21. The next day, his body was found on the Prizren–Đakovica road. He had been killed by a gunshot.
Suva Reka / Suharekë
At around 2:30 p.m., several KLA members entered the “Balkan Belt” shop near the post office in Suva Reka/Suharekë and shot dead a shopkeeper of Serbian nationality.
Police immediately organized a search for the perpetrators, focusing on Ramiz Sadiku Street. They broke down yard gates, searched Albanian homes, took money and gold from women, and between 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. killed 10 civilians who did not resist. Families of the victims and neighbors saw through their windows that police collected the bodies, burned traces of the killings, covered them with sand, and transported them by truck to an unknown location. Their bodies have not yet been found.
Srbica / Skenderaj
Women and children fled Donje Prekaze/Prekaz i Poshtëm on March 18 and took shelter in Neighborhood III in Srbica/Skënderaj. From there, on March 22, they heard gunfire from the village. Sofija returned to the village on March 24 and found her husband and his nephew killed.
