Turning justice denied into justice achieved | Andras Vamos-Goldman | TEDxHamburg

Since 1993, approximately 6,5 billion has been spent on international justice institutions. So, what is the issue? Why has been a constant increasing of conflict related crimes every year, since 2007?

This is the question Andras Vamos-Goldman asked in his lecture on TEDx Talks in Hamburg in July. Listen to entire presentation of this Canadian diplomat, who was engaged in numerous conflicts all over the world, as a political and legal advice, as a consultant with the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC). He is also a law and policy adviser to the CEO of the University of British Columbia’s Liu Institute for Global Initiative.

Currently, he is the Executive Director of Justice Rapid Response (JRR), organization with the goal “to ensure that through timely, professional, and impartial investigations of mass atrocities we can bring justice to victims and help to create a credible deterrent against future perpetrators. This will assist post-conflict societies to avoid relapsing into conflict, thus fostering peace and defending human dignity”.
