{"id":139439,"date":"2016-06-14T10:19:53","date_gmt":"2016-06-14T09:19:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.recom.link\/izetbegovic-na-kazanima-nosio-sam-osjecaj-duga-2\/"},"modified":"2016-06-14T10:26:37","modified_gmt":"2016-06-14T09:26:37","slug":"izetbegovic-na-kazanima-nosio-sam-osjecaj-duga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.recom.link\/en\/izetbegovic-na-kazanima-nosio-sam-osjecaj-duga\/","title":{"rendered":"Izetbegovi\u0107\u2019s Visit to Kazani is a Contribution to Reconciliation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wysiwyg\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" enhanced\" src=\"http:\/\/gdb.rferl.org\/E865C036-CA2A-4454-A428-8F62708CB68C_w610_r1_s.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovi\u0107 today laid flowers and paid tribute to the killed Serb civilians on Kazani above Sarajevo, for the sake of reconciliation and mutual respect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had a feeling like I am obligated to express my reverence on Kazani and express condolences to families whose members lost their lives here, in a terrible way,\u201d Izetbegovi\u0107 said, stating that he should have come to Kazani earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Izetbegovi\u0107 stated that everything should be done so that such events never occur again, hoping that this visit will have \u201cone positive political effect\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Other politicians who joined Izetbegovi\u0107 today were Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdi\u0107, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH \u0160efik D\u017eaferovi\u0107, Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novali\u0107 and Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Elmedin Konakovi\u0107, as well as representatives of associations of families of the killed ones.<\/p>\n<p>Officials expressed readiness to find mortal remains on Kazani given that the number of the killed persons was never officially determined. Remains of about 30 people were exhumed from the pit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFamilies of the killed are afraid that this might be an end on Kazani. That is why I asked Izetbegovi\u0107 to intervene and enable the search of Kazani. If there are no more remains in the pit, then he should order those who hid the bodies to tell us where they are hidden,\u201d said the \u010cPresident of the Association of the families of the missing persons in the Sarajevo-Romanija region, Milan Mandi\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>Mandi\u0107 said that Izetbegovi\u0107\u2019s visit is an encouraging gesture which should be performed by other members of the Presidency of BiH, Dragan \u010covi\u0107 and Mladen Ivani\u0107.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the place from where we should start building coexistence and future in Sarajevo,\u201d Mandi\u0107 said.<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen soldiers of the Army of RBiH were convicted for crimes on Kazani.
